~In a darkened room Where a cracked comb lays, Light nine candles to share the doom
Gaze into the mirror Speak my name, Say it three times
There's no use in stopping You can't help yourself, You want to see the words come true
When you see my face, Don't scream, don't you dare You will follow me to my lair~

Ignore that first bit, I know it's crap. Anyway, if you couldn't tell, she's a play on the Bloody Mary urban legend. This picture changed a lot from when I first started it.
Originally it was going to be two teenage girls standing in front of a mirror. One was holding a book, clearly reading off some incantation, with her hand out waiting for the knife the other girl was holding to make a blood sacrifice. The other, isn't even looking at the girl. She's too busy staring at what you see in the reflection and thinking of a way to make her friend the bait. What I wanted was for the woman in the mirror to be the focus, so the other two had to go.
I got carried away with the background, can you tell? Just kept adding to it and messing with this or that....and then I started wondering what would it look like with bits of color. Made a few copies, tried some stuff out, but I think the black and white is better for this one. I might post the one with the hints of color later.
Beautiful work.
